The Foo Fighters once again gain the coveted #1 spot on the nation's alternative radio charts with their smash hit, "Long Road To Ruin."
Dave Grohl, while drumming with the famed Seattle grunge band, Nirvana, was recording his own original songs at home, which were never publicly released. Those songs became the foundation of the Foo Fighters, the band that formed in 1995 after the death of Kurt Cobain.
The band’s name, Foo Fighters is named after a World War II Secret force that allegedly researched UFO’s.
In 2007 their CD release entitled, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, spawned the #1 Alternative Rock hit, “The Pretender.”

A champion surfer in his pre-rock star days, continued to follow his musical dreams and started writing songs while attending college in Santa Barbara. Discovering his lazy blues, sing-song style, G. Love and Special Sauce took notice and included Johnson on “Rodeo Clowns” which appeared on G Love’s 1000 release “Philadelphia.” Johnson’s 4-track demo also caught the attention of Ben Harper’s right hand man, J.P. Plumier, who produced Johnson’s Debut release, “Brushfire Fairytales.”
Jack Johnson went on to release a string of popular radio hits including “Bubble Toes,” “Flake.”, and “The Horizon has Been Defeated.” His latest single, "If I Had Eyes, which is the first single off his February 2008 CD release entitled, "Sleep Trough The Static" is currently #1 on the nation's Adult Alternative Charts.

Newly added to GotRadio’s Women’s Alternative channel, singer/songwriter, Kate Voegele hails from Ohio, where her early singing began at age 10 in the church choir.
It wasn’t until she began high school, and spurred by a breakup, Kate began to get serious and starting writing songs. One of her demos landed in the hands of a Warner Brothers rep at a Michelle Branch concert, which spawned a 5 song EP.
In the fall of 2006, Voegele officially signed to Myspace Records, which released her full length CD début, “Don’t Look Away.”
