| Val Starr – President
& Founder
For over two decades, Val Starr, has been active in the music industry
developing and breaking recording artists through radio promotion. She has
worked for the industry’s leading independent promotion firms in top-level
executive positions, including West Coast Director of Crossover Promotions at
Jeff McClusky & Associates, Vice President of Promotions at Modern Music
Marketing, and Sr. Vice President of Promotions at Rotations, Inc. In addition,
Ms Starr has worked in executive administration and promotion directly for many
major record labels including ABC, Chrysalis and Polygram Records. Ms. Starr
continued her successful career in independent promotion up until 1997, at
which time, she launched one of the first, multi-formatted Internet
broadcasting stations, allradio.com. In 1999, Ms. Starr founded and launched
ChoiceRadio, which was subsequently acquired by Internet Radio Inc. Ms. Starr
continued on as the President of the newly formed Internet broadcasting firm
until September of 2002. In spring of 2003, Val Starr is proud to introduce her
third and charmed radio property, GotRadio.com.
Justin Corbett – VP Technology
Justin Corbett represents the new breed of "gold collar" workers where
knowledge is not just having information; it is using information--to solve
problems, to create solutions and strategies, to learn from experience and
whose experience is valued by agile companies eager to become leaders in their
field.
Justin garnered media attention in his early teenage years when he started a
number of successful dotcoms. Graduating from college at 18, he has always been
on the cutting-edge of technology and eager for a challenge. Earlier in his
career he worked with multinational companies in establishing successful
branding initiatives through high-yield web sites. In the late nineties Justin
explored the capabilities of XML and served as a consultant to companies
wanting to enter into e-commerce. He later found his passion with the creative
aspects of multimedia and enjoyed exploring the power of integrating dynamic
database back-ends with various multi-media applications. Later, Justin
discovered Flashcorp, Inc., and has been providing graphic, interactive user
interface functionalities to companies with graphics, audio and video needs.
Justin is excited about his involvement in GotRadio and the promise it has for
bringing entertainment to Internet users around the world.
