Though his singing career has largely taken a back seat to his hugely successful run at the box office (starring in Oscar-winning roles such as 2004's RAY), Jamie Foxx has had his feet planted in both artistic camps since his seldom-heard 1994 debut, PEEP THIS. Continuing his breakout 2005 album UNPREDICTABLE's seductive blend of romantic R&B-balladry and smooth bedroom jams, INTUITION finds Foxx upping the tempos and electronic treatments, with the intent of translating his hit-making formula for club audiences. Enlisting a Grammy-pedigreed cast of producers and guest artists, including T.I., Lil Wayne, and T-Pain, the album benefits from its star-studded rotation of guest spots--serving as able hype-men or nimble rhymesmiths on material that could, otherwise, have been fairly middling relationship fodder. On the lead single, "Just Like Me," Foxx's smooth, synthetic croon rides confidently over an appealingly bouncy melodic hook while T.I.'s roughneck swagger provides gritty contrast. While INTUITION lacks some of the immediate pleasures of Foxx's Kanye West-produced collaboration with Twista, "Slow Jamz," it still packs enough surprises and twists to keep it in good stead with 2008's other big album by a fellow R&B singer-turned-actor, Beyonce.

DeAndre Way, known as Soulja Boy Tell 'Em was a hitmaker in the making! He was a pruducer, live entertainer, and had a talent for writing great hooks! He got connected with the music industry, and his father provided him with a recording studio.
After distrubuting his music online in 2004, he was eventually discovered by an Atlanta producer who pushed Soulja Boy Tell 'Em into a national success! His first single, Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)" in 2007 hit number one on the pop charts!
His debut album "Souljaboytellem.com" includes that single. Today, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em continues to "crank" out the hits, with his latest album, released in December, 2008, called "iSouljaBoyTellEm". It includes the single "Kiss Me Though The Phone."

Songs in the Key of Life (1976) was the highest high point of Stevie Wonder's career. More sprawling than Innervisions and Talking Book, this two-LP-plus-EP was also less of a consistent stunner than either of those masterworks. That Songs retains an enormous amount of visionary relevance, though, is demonstrated not only in Coolio's borrowing of "Pastime Paradise" as a template for "Gangsta's Paradise," but in the cold-as-ice synthesized string quartet of "Village Ghetto Land." This is Stevie, so naturally that cut's anger is balanced by the ultra-buoyant "I Wish," "Sir Duke," and "Another Star." The 2000 reissue boasts radically improved remastered sound. --Rickey Wright

Dubbed the "Queen of Disco", Donna Summer was one of the very few disco performers to enjoy a measure of career longevity, and her consistent chart success was rivaled in the disco world only by the Bee Gees. Few vocalists could match the sultry, unfettered eroticism Summer brought to many of her best recordings, which seemed to embody the spirit of the disco era perfectly. The total package made Summer the ultimate disco diva, one of the few whose star power was even bigger than the music.
